The heart of Africa is ultimately near to us, in the center of Athens. Children from Nigeria succeeded in difficult times to bring the culture and music of their country in the 1st Nigerian Festival held Wednesday at Gazi (on the occasion of its Independence Day).
A music event that evolved into a political protest against racism, while the leader of Golden Dawn party was transported to the court, a great part of Athens was blocked for this reason and the weather was rainy. Dozens of Athenians of different ages were able to gather and watch the various musical trends of Nigeria, the richest and most controversial country with 445 ethnic groups and life expectancy 47 years...
It is worth noting that the immigrant community in Greece reaching 2000 people including- typical case - that of MC Yinka who called with his music and had an immediate response, an intense anti-racist protest respecting the diversity of the participants and managed to bring to us the magic, the problems and the culture of the black continent.
