Pianist George Cables has played and recorded with many of the greatest musicians of Jazz. Among them are Art Blakey, Sonny Rollins, Dexter Gordon, Art Pepper, Joe Henderson, Joe Farrell, Freddie Hubbard, Bobby Hutcherson, Art Pepper, Archie Shepp and many others.
The story of "Mr Beautiful" as Art Pepper called him, is about modern jazz as a whole. He has released many albums since the 70's and his personal album “Why Not”, without mentioning the countless collaborations. He has also released two albums with the group Bebop and Beyond, with compositions of Dizzy Gillespie and Thelonious Monk.
The great musician comes to our country with a unique quintet, which is essentially an authentic all-star band. The legendary drummer Billy Hart is also part of the history of jazz, saxophonist Craig Handy of the leading young musicians in modern jazz, the great trumpeter David Weiss coveted jazzman, while bassist Michael Bowie has collaborated with artists such as the superb Abbey Lincoln, Michel Camilo, Manhattan Transfer and others.
