Saxophonist (and flutist) Dave Liebman has completed nearly five decades in the jazz scene. He comes from the "school" of Coltrane and has played with Elvin Jones and Miles Davis. He has toured with Chick Corea, John Mclaughlin and others. He has a distinguished career as a saxophonist, with particular importance and value to both the interpretation and the educational field. He has received awards and Grammy nominations, while his discography includes over 75 solo albums and several hundred recordings on discs of others or with others.
Bassist Steve Swallow emerged in jazz area in early 60s. His simple but unique playing style has made him greatly sought. He has permanent cooperation with Carla Bley and has played with Art Farmer, Gary Burton, John Scofield, Chic Corea and Stan Getz.
Greatly sought is also drummer Adam Nussbaum. His discography contains many collaborations with Sonny Rollins, James Moody or Michael Brecker. His educational project is considered unique.
These three composers, improvisers and friends came together as a group in 2006 and noting the excellent chemistry between them they issued the album "We Three - Three for All" (and later "We 3 - Live"), which made them keep the scheme- regardless of their other activities – and make tours occasionally with this project.
