She was born in Takoma in 1953. Blind since birth she learned to sing and play the piano in a school for the blind. She loved Billie Holiday and Dinah Washington.
We loved her voice. Diane Schuur gave her exams many years ago. She has presented her personal albums, won Grammy Awards, appeared with legends of music.
With her expressive talent and special interpretation she narrated the story of her songs in a unique manner.
She will be in our country for three nights and on Saturday February, 7th she will hold a seminar for singers of jazz in Half Note Jazz Club.
