With jazz as a vehicle and the improvisation which distinguishes Yiorgos Psihoyios, he leads us to the paths of rembetiko of his youth. He heard and loved it for the first time during 60’s, through the tapes that played endlessly in his father’s very old tape recorder, accompanying memorable family moments.
Together with his trio which is implemented by Manos Lutas double-bass and electric bass and Seraphim Bellos timpani, they invite us in this journey with jazz as a vehicle. With free improvisations on known compositions of Tsitsanis, Vamvakaris, Papaioannou, Bagianteras, Tsaous, Chiotis, Kaldaras, Hadjidakis etc. they attempt to prove that there are no borders in music.
The musicians Lefteris Andriotis lyra and Alexis Tsamis percussion instruments also participate. Eleni and Susanna Vouyioukli and the actress Christina Maxouri vocals. Orchestrations by Yiorgos Psihoyios.
