To celebrate the anticipated release of their first album, the quintet of "Singularity project" takes us from the spirituals of Africa and Cuba to modern European jazz. The five musicians bring their own musical idioms and character to form a multinational puzzle with jazz mood.
Vangelis Stephanopoulos is responsible for original compositions that frame the improvisations of the group and has the ability to make even the most complex jazz compositions sound simple, thus opening the door even to the uninitiated to the unique sound of modern jazz.
Adedeji Adetayo of Nigerian origin and Cuban Yoel Soto convey the power and immediacy of their tradition injecting the group with boundless energy and creativity.
Yiannis Angelopoulos with his aesthetics, technique and maturity completes the rhythm section and respecting music he adds his own touch.
David Lynch is one of the most acclaimed musicians of the Greek scene known for his sensitivity and lyricism.
Besides the compositions at their first public presentation the quintet will also perform selected compositions from "Sailing on a marsipus" of Vagelis Stefanopoulos Trio.
