“Jazz Magazine” has written that the album was “a great revelation of unprecedented elegance” and the press in France often refers to him with enthusiastic reviews.
He has given his personal touch to artists such as Sting, Amadou et Mariam and Vincent Delerm, while he is unanimously characterized by the global music community as a phenomenon of both Jazz and classical music.
He was born in Beirut and raised in the suburbs of France. He has been taught by his father Nassim Maalouf since he was seven years old, baroque, classic and contemporary repertoire, always based on the Arab culture and tradition. This proved that had a great importance in his future career. Having gained experience in concerts with his father, his career skyrocketed with distinctions in competitions in France, America, Hungary and elsewhere, with the Diploma of the National Conservatory of Paris and with his collaborations with recognized symphony orchestras and ensembles.
The composer and trumpeter Ibrahim Maalouf experiments constantly channeling his knowledge and energy in musical projects, that start from the heart of the East and incorporate the sound of Jazz Clubs in Paris. He becomes acquainted with young musicians and representatives of various styles, he adapts his art and he creates his own musical horizons.
