George Kontrafouris was born in Athens in 1967. He studied classical piano at the National Conservatory. When he was sixteen he became interested in jazz and attended lessons of jazz improvisation with Markos Alexiou. He also attended classes with Jim Beard and Jarmo Savolainen. He graduated with a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Jazz Performance from the Sibelius Academy in Finland.
Baby Trio was created to express the naiveté, teenage enthusiasm and generally what makes an impression on a young musician when he starts playing in a band with his friends.
Sugahspank was born in Piraeus in 1982 and she has been playing music through various underground structures since she was fourteen. Playing different kinds of soul, funk and hip hop to blues, gospel, swing, rock ‘n’ roll and experimental she attempts to get as close as possible to the more experimental side of every kind.
