Scorpions will present a historical overview since the beginning of their career, songs not played live before, as well as new ones under the lights of MTV Unplugged.
“We decided to present this project in Greece because the Greeks are our biggest fans”, Klaus Meine, the singer of Scorpions has said. “We return to prove that they are in our heart for all these years. We picked the Lycabettus theater and not one of the big stadiums we have played in the past-such as the Karaiskakis-because we wanted a smaller and cozier venue. This is why we decided to play for a few days in this beautiful theater. We have played before in Lycabettus and we still remember that when we arrived, there were fans everywhere. They had climbed up on the rocks around the theater, it was really exciting. We decided not to do only one concert, but three, because they will be recorded for DVD for 47 countries. We believe it is better to have three and no less, so there is a lot of material for the final selection.”
