The title of the concert “Teach me tonight” originates from the love song of Gene de Paul with lyrics by Sammy Cahn, which prepares us for an atmospheric evening under the stars.
The program is representative of jazz of 50’s and 60’s with well-known songs and music of jazz legends, such as Benny Golson, Thelonious Monk, Cole Porter etc. It is performed by eight musicians, members of the Jazz Ensemble Conservatory of Athens consisting of Dimitris Kalantzis piano and orchestrations, Takis Paterelis alto saxophone, Dimitris Papadopoulos trumpet, Spyros Panagiotopoulos drums, Pericles Trivolis contrabass, John Lukatos guitar, George Polychronakos drums and Lukia Paleologou vocals.
