With Sephardic origin Belgian Myriam Alter was raised with all kinds of music, Latin, Italian, Oriental, Spanish, South American, classical. She started learning classical music from the age of 8, but she worked as a psychologist and advertiser. She ran a school dance, which brought her close to the music that had left and she resumed the studies she had abandoned.
Playing in the beginning jazz standards, she formed a quartet, then a quintet and after having gained experience, she began to write her own music getting very good reviews. She presented her first album in 1994 titled “Reminiscence”.
