“The most hot city band right now,” said George Kontrafouris.
The quintet consists of Thodoris Kotsifas guitar, Yannis Papadopoulos piano , Konstantinos Manos double bass, Vassilis Podaras drums and Orpheus Tsoukalas saxophone. It was formed by five young musicians in autumn 2011 and on Thursday their first album is released.
Starting from their love for jazz and with common orientation its modern trends, they will present their own compositions and adaptations of songs by contemporary artists such as Aaron Parks, Kurt Rosenwinkel and others, trying to make a collage with their views on today's jazz.
