Juan Garcia-Herreros, also known by the stage name “Snow Owl”, comes from Colombia and was raised in New York and Florida.
Distinguished as a child prodigy, he worked at the age of 17 with the Tampa Bay Symphony! World-renowned musician, with the special instrument he plays - specially constructed six-string electric guitar / contrabass - has collaborated with many artists such as Elton John, Al Jarreau, Spanish Harlem Orchestra, Christina Aguilera, Victor Wooten, etc.
He has performed with the greatest latin bands and has repeatedly been honored with several awards for his work. International music publications and special editions of bass and jazz have praised the synthesis and implementation capacity of the Snow Owl.
With his quintet that includes the exceptional pianist Hector Martignon, they will present original compositions from the award-winning album “Art of Contrabass Guitar”.
