Manu Dibango comes back to our country with his band Makossa Gang. He brings his rhythms and endless fun. We all wait to hear his great success “Soul Makossa”, but also his new album “Past, Present, Future” he is to present. He takes us from the past to present and future. What's better than a trip with the musician, who has been creating since early 70s, proving to be one of the greatest saxophonists born on the African continent.
He has many albums, while in his musical career he collaborated until now with artists such as Miriam Makeba, Angelique Kidjo, Fela Futi, Mori Kante, Richard Bona, Tony Allen and others.
We will see in the same scene the New Yorkers Kokolo, who are coming back to Athens. This is not the first time they share the stage with legends of music, it has been done in the past with Isaac Hayes, James Brown, Roy Ayers and others.
The band owes its creation to the inspired founder Ray Lugo. Although it began as a pure Afrobeat shape, Kokolo expanded their sound and mix data from hip hop, rock, jazz and salsa while the lyrics are always special. They have released a lot of records and have bright moments in their path.
