Sunny Side Of The Razor were created in 2008 by the famous actor Sunny Chatziargyri, who is also the front woman of the band.
After studying at the National Theatre she went for postgraduate studies in the States, where she met Dimitris Koutsiouris and they began writing songs. It took them five “painful” years of efforts, but they made their own band and released their first album titled Sunny Side of the Razor, with songs in English verse. For this work Sunny was awarded in 2010 “Woman of the Year” in the category “Emerging songwriter”. Last summer they released their new e.p. titled “My Silver Eagle”.
The band has performed many lives, including the Rockwave Festival in Athens in 2009, alongside names like Placebo and Moby. Furthermore after being selected by the management of Red Hot Chili Peppers as the Greek support group who “opened” the concert on 4 September 2012 (OAKA), they played in front of 40,000 people. An appearance in Thessaloniki followed(Radio Arvyla and Eightball) and they are now preparing for Athens. They come to remind us once again their favorite verse from Cure, “Remember you can fill up the sky, you don't have to give in”!!!
