Music sometimes drifts Maria Serrano in a rhythmic battle with unspecified demons and sometimes leads her to an expressive melancholy. It has been written that she is the “Voodoo Queen of Flamenco.”
She is not the typical dancer, but always tries to go beyond the tradition of Seville, creating her own history. The guitars and vocal passages keep the color of flamenco and the piano makes the world on which the Maria Serrano builds her own magic through the art that great artists taught her.
13 years ago she created the famous dance group Compania Maria Serrano and with excellent performances such as “Mi Carmen Flamenca”, “Ritmo”, “Flamentango” and amazing collaborators she tours in Europe. This time she presents a program that includes the history and technique of flamenco, which she calls “Flamenco Recital”.
