A cheerful band with dancing sounds, swing, rhythm and blues and jive that excites the audience. The group was formed in 2004 by musicians who had experience in the great English band scene such as Alabama Slammers, Jive Cats, etc. Their appearance at various venues and jazz festivals - like the Kinsale Jazz Festival in Ireland - established the Slammers Maximum Jive in the minds of the friends of swing.
Their first album, “Jive Time” came to seal their success in late 2007. Since then the course of the band is characterized by great performances throughout the British territory, a second CD titled “Hey There You!”, touring in Europe and a great collaboration with Ray Davies of the Kinks .....
At Half Note we will enjoy the Athens Swing Cats, the team that first brought swing in Athens.
