This is perhaps one of the most important and interesting projects presented in the music world this year. David Murray considered this project a very sincere love letter to one of the biggest personalities of music history, Nat King Cole.
This great artist with a romantic voice and a global career wrote two of his most charming albums in 1958 and 1962 the “Cole Espanol” and “more Cole Espanol”respectively.50 years after their creation the great saxophonist of Jazz David Murray presents these two albums along with the Cuban Ensemble, a ten-member band of the best musicians in Cuba, by restoring life into historical pieces with his own unique sensual way.
Few musicians of Jazz have proven as productively active as David Murray. Over the past 35 years he has recorded more than 250 albums and he is not afraid to explore new musical paths proving that he is always ready for a new challenge. He has also composed films soundtracks, music for theatre and two operas.
