Deep Purple & Vasilis Papakonstantinou

Deep Purple are coming to our country for a series of concerts and this time they collaborate with Vasilis Papakonstantinou. They started on May 6 from Heraklion, on May 20 they will be in Athens, and they will continue in Patras, Thessaloniki and Ioannina. In Ioannina Vasilis Papakonstantinou will not participate and they will sing along with George Gakis.

“Roaring beasts of Britain” the musical press called Deep Purple. A legendary group with fans around the world and from different generations. Songs like “Hush”, “Black night”, “Child in time”, “Smoke on the water” or “Soldier of fortune” marked an entire era. Created in Hertford in 1968, they have entered the Guinness Book of Records as the most noisy band, they have sold more than 100,000,000 records.

Vasilis Papakonstantinou a performer with a rare voice began his career in the early 70's. He has sung from the “The house of the rising sun”, at a time when he was not interested in making a record, to the “Sebastian” of Steve Harley, the “Stavros Tou Notou” by Nikos Kavadias and Thanos Mikroutsikos, the ballads of Manos Loizos. He followed the paths of Nikolas Asimos and he sent “Greetings to the Power”. He never liked these titles and labels, while this is not the first time that he collaborates with foreign artists.
