Daniel Melingo has a rich artistic past as a musician, but also as an artist in the urban and pop culture of Argentina from the difficult times, when freedom of artistic expression in his country was being persecuted. He worked as an actor in the independent theater of Buenos Aires in early eighties and as a guitarist in the rock group Los Twist and thereafter he was the saxophonist in the group Abuelos de la Nada. His concern led him to Spain, where he created the band Lions of Love and then returned home to devote himself exclusively to tango.
In this area he showed his diverse talents (acting, humorous, musical, creative, etc.) “playing” a role akin to that of Tom Waits, Nick Cave's or Tonino Carotone. A modern and authentic bohemian artist who turns into a unique feeling of tango every ironic caustic look at our life ...
